Each member of the Council of the Nine will...

hold his or her name and the name of the Council in high grace

defend the name and integrity of the Council with his or her life

perform tasks and quests at the request of an elder

go to the aid of another regardless of the dangers at hand

hold learning and scholarship as their highest goal

never loot or steal from another

never take a life except in self defense or the defense of another
