Nadir's Relvinian Address

Brothers and Sisters,
I have gathered you all tonight to announce the state of our Clan at the present time. Before I begin, I wish to remind those who do not remember, from what Clan Entreri originates from.
In the beginning, Clan Entreri was an outwardly benevolent guild: nay did we strike down the wrongfully criminally charged, nay did we deny helping others in need. Even then we were engaging and difficult at times, myself having always been draconian, but always considered good at heart and endearing in true companionship. Things have changed, the old Clan Entreri died out because it had no purpose other than to promote it's own benevolence. I believe it was the fact that each member saw through the cherade and realised his true self, the one that needed to hurt that needed to hate that needed to feel power. I believe it was our original denial that brought us down. But we shall deny ourselves no longer. Certainly we shall acknowledge that within each of us, there is a beast that wants to do monstrous things. As human beings, we shall feel remorse for our malevolency, as men we shall reign ourselves in, but as living beings, we shall not deny our passions. Instead we will continue to address them and use them to the benefit of others by continuing along the path we have chosen within our charter.
Now, onto the State of the Clan: The hedge maze truly is ours now. I have come to fully understand Relvinian's Secret and hence, Clan Entreri shall be like unto gods there with myself as the coordinator. Two weeks ago, I completed the invocation and sealed Relvinian's Curse upon the maze. So long as I am the keeper of his secrets, the curse shall remain, he that transgresses the curse shall die in a most horrid manner. I hereby announce that no steel nor magic of any kind shall be handled while within Our Realm, those that transgress my decree, transgress the curse and hence subject to said punishment before named. Worry not though my brothers for being my brother and I being the keeper of the maze, you shall be immune to the curse: all those that bear the clan's name shall have free use of magic and steel. Furthermore, nor shall any that bear the symbol of our alliance and my personal annointment be burdened by the curses restrictions on steel: such is the gift I bestow upon those that guard the maze from others. To our allies, I know the path will be difficult, tis not an easy thing to defend that which is not fully pure and free of guilt, but in protecting the maze, you shall protect the world from those that would use it's power in far worse ways than Clan Entreri. Many will think you bewitched, many will see you as agents of evil, it shall be a test of yer true self to endure these slings and arrows and persevere to be the benevolent person you are, for I know yer intentions are well as I will not accept the aid of evil. In the future then, when men that call themselves good come to slay thee for guarding the maze and it's not so perfect keeper, believe that you are doing the right thing and that many men, like Clan Entreri once was, are blind to their own evil. To those that would read reports of this address and see it as a proclaimation of evil I ask that you seriously look within yerself and truly consider how different you are from the members of Clan Entreri. I ask that you seriously consider what you would become were you given omnipotence. If still you are certain that such power as to move the heavens, disrupt all magic and disarm all men should not be held by Clan Entreri but rather yerself, then I ask you to come meet us in the maze where we might purify you in magical fire and leave yer soul to wander the maze in contemplation. Perhaps then you will change yer mind. As a counter proposal to those that are not so stubborn as to accept it, as a token of our compassion, I offer that he who dies within the maze bearing a diamond, recieve the clan's mercy: a gate out.

The Wicked Nadir Entreri, Relvinian's Keeper
