(CAMPAIGN RULES & BACKGROUND) by Nadir Entreri

Theme: Relvinian's Maze, or the Hedge Maze, is a place of mystery and power. It is rumored to give omnipotence to it's holder and gifts to those it favors. It is a sentient being, with elusive goals and motives, most will never realise or ever feel it's existance as beyond a place, but it does. Currently, the maze is claimed to be controlled by a Nadir Entreri and his family, Clan Entreri. They live in Britain, but come to defend their hold of the maze when they deem the time necessary. Many outside factions believe Clan Entreri's hold over the maze not so definate as their leader would make people believe. For a person supposedly omnipotent, Nadir seems fairly mortal. Whether his claims to reign in the power is true or if he lacks it altogether is not agreed upon by many seeking to seize control of the maze for themselves. It is quite evident however, that Clan Entreri does hold some special power within the maze. Those not of Clan Entreri are prone to suffering a grievious disease that eats flesh and poisons blood, turning one into a lump of rotting flesh that quickly is consumed by the maze's appetite. The cause of this disease is claimed to be a hex conjured by Nadir Entreri to protect the maze from intruders. It attacks anyone not Entreri that bears either steel or magic inside the maze. It is well advised not to transgress this decree of no magic or steel within the maze as it has been proven many times by foolhardy people, that the hex on the maze is real. On a final note, it is rumored that counters or "wards", as they've become known as, allow one to ignore parts of the hex, for instance, allies of Clan Entreri were seen wearing Red Tribal Masks, while wering them, they were able to bear steel armor with no ill effect; those not of the alliance that tried to wear tribal masks and steel armor, died horribly... "

An Imparital Gathered Report" Rules of Engagement: In general no one is allowed to use anything ever called magic or part to creating magic, for instance, no reagents, no scrolls, no spells no magic weapons, no potions. In addition no steel is allowed, that means nothing made of ingots. No steel armor, no steel weapons things not made of steel may be used like staffs, wooden shields, bone armor, leather armor, bandages, etc... To counter the above things there are exceptions called wards Wards are items carried in a black bag, that allows one to ignore some explicit effect.

THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL RULES SHALL APPLY IN ALL CASES AT ALL TIMES
No Deadly Poison weapons (greater is allowed, but for some reason, deadly is deadly to it's user)
No Energy Vortexes (these can't be summoned inside the maze ever)
No Blade Spirits (these can't be summoned inside the maze ever)
No Daemons (these can only be summoned by Nadir Entreri)
No Dragons (these cannot survive inside the maze)
No Drakes (these cannot survive inside the maze)
No Nitemares (these cannot survive inside the maze)

Special Scenario: Dark Temple Seige "Milord, the reports are true; apparently the spider temple has a strong will of it's own and has taken to granting powers to those it favors. Fortunately the power of this one temple is small, no greater than it's own floors, to step onto the grass near the steps leading out is to spell death to any steel bearing intruder. It seems the temple has given it's chosen the power to ignore all hinderances against magic and steel. Thus, they cast magic and weild all forms of steel. Fotunately they cannot bring dragons or summon energy vortexes and other such things." Sashed Entreri Report "My fears are proven true, the spider temple has granted immunity wihin it's bounds to many hostile forces. Although they cannot use this power to directly assualt the main compound, they can utilize it as a stagging point to undermine my control. Apparently, it is currently held by the Fallen Lords, their motives are yet uncertain to me. Do they seek total control? How shall they acquire it? It seems only time will tell, I only wish this time my enemy was not such a batte hardened force"
