S.Y. 316.3
(January 11, 2003) *Frantically,
the Wolves, the Rangers, the Pirates and the Knights prepared for their
journey across the sea. They had to travel light, and on foot, since
the ships cargo would be filled with their weapons and there would be
no room for mounts.*
*The
group, too large to use a single gate, cast several and moved to the
shores of Moonglow where they could leave from the western coast and
travel a shorter distance by water. The seas were rough, and some of
the less battle hardened complained of stomache upsets.*
*Hours later, soaked by the spray of salt water, all but the Pirates on rubber legs glad to see land again, they reached the sandy beaches of Nu'jelm. Focused on their mission to secure the palace, few took the time to notice the beauty of the area. Instead, the seagulls were drowned out by the division commanders barking out their orders and the sounds of weapons being drawn from their scabbords. As one, the horde marched onward to the palace. Once inside, the troops scrambled for the best positions, and waited...*
*From the direction of the docks, the sounds of many heavy footsteps could be heard approaching...* S.Y. 316.2 (January
9, 2003) "Just as I
expected the Orcs would use the docks. I'm glad my decision to use the
far cove near the cemetary was right."
*As the wolves approached the Nujel'm Palace, they were joined by the Pirates of the Drunken Maiden, and the Rangers of Skara Brae!*
*The group quickly
opens the doors to the palace. As they close and barricade the door
behind them, captains and officers start barking orders to the other
troops.*
*Suddenly a rumble
is felt at their feet. The enemies are getting close. Orcs, Drow, and
Undead approach the palace at a slow and methodical pace.*
*Arrows from Orc
Archers bounced on the walls of the palace. Some discovering entry and
wounding the allies.*
"Stand your ground and advance when they are reloading!"
*Members of the
Dark Alliance began to fall. As the Wolves, Rangers, and Pirates defended
the palace it was discovered that some enemies had infiltrated the palace
by other means.*
*The wolves celebrated this vicotry with few casualties, but countless others perished. They only hope to be as victorious in the next battle.*
