The Fallen Lords

Twas
another night, like any other night in the life of a scribe. I was riding
through town on some small errand to refill my stock of parchment when
I was approached by one of the Rangers of Skara Brae, Malgan T'brie.
Apparently some have noticed my few contributions to the Skara Brae
Chimera for Malgan knew me
to be a reporter of sorts. Unfortunately as it is with most news stories
the tale that he had to share was not a good one. Malgan informed me
that the Ranger Hall had once again been overrun. However the Dark Alliance
was not to blame this time, a new evil has come to Skara Bare intent
on conquest. The Fallen Lords have come. Tis a dark omen.
Malgan shared the tale of the attack, many rangers had been slain though details were sketchy. From what I have gathered the leader of the Fallen Lords himself came to the Ranger Hall to speak with the Rangers. This man Dracus relayed his intent to conquer Sosaria and offered the Rangers a chance to join willingly rather than be destroyed. Not suprisingly the Rangers rejected this offer and it comes as no suprise to me for such a noble guild would never submit to evil.
Dracus was attacked and wounded. There is question as to whether or not he prepared for combat but most do not usually stop to speak with one of the Fallen Lords. Quick they are to attack and a moments hesitation often leads to death. In either case Dracus returned with a sizeable force and in a fit motivated by revenge the Fallen Lords decimated the Rangers present at the Hall.
After hearing this I went myself to take a look at the Ranger Hall and see if I could offer any assistance. Upom my arrival the only ranger present was Antonio Montanna. I was not able to speak with him for long before the Fallen Lords returned. Antonio and myself quickly fell to their onslaught. I will admit for such an evil force they did have a measure of class and did not taunt the foes that they defeated.
Dracus has sworn to harass the Rangers from this point forward for the insult they gave him in refusing his offer. Those who are loyal to Skara Brae would be wise to support the Rangers. If they fall all hope will be lost, they are the towns last defense.
